Flora Sprouts Near Samsung Plant

Development of a planned community that will bring 2,800 homes to Hutto, 28 miles northeast of Austin, has begun. Houston’s Empire Continental Land, has officially begun development of its largest master-planned community to date — the 835-acre Flora in Hutto, TX. Empire Continental Land, a Houston-based division of Canadian developer Empire Communities, announced Monday that it’s started on Flora, an 800-acre planned community on County Road 133 north of Hutto.
Empire Communities’ Stein Steel project, the largest in Reynoldstown, has begun vertical construction on a flank of condos that will be the closest buildings to the Beltline section previously known as the Eastside Trail (it’s now technically the Southeast Trail).
