Phase One of Construction Commences in Indigo

Homebuilders have begun construction in Indigo, a Fort Bend County master-planned community from Meristem Communities. David Weekley Homes, Empire Communities and Highland Homes will build a total of 261 homes during the first phase of construction, with sales projected to start this May. “We selected builders with Texas roots who align with the vision to create an array of homes that cater to all family formations, lifestyles and backgrounds,” Scott Snodgrass, founding partner at Meristem Communities, said in a press release. “Every element of Indigo encourages meaningful social interaction, from the homes to the public spaces, allowing everyone to play a part in the larger shared experience.”

Empire Communities Named GHBA Volume Builder of the Year

Empire Communities, one of North America’s largest privately held homebuilders, has been recognized as Volume Builder of the Year by the Greater Houston Builders Association. Lead by regional president James Miller, Empire’s Houston division has been a supporter of HomeAid Houston, a GHBA charity dedicated to providing housing and support for Houston’s homeless.
